This summer, I was driving through a piece of newly seeded ground. The first year or two after seeding, sometimes we get a flush of weeds. I noticed a very large cocklebur, close to five feet tall. Our beef goes from our ranch straight to your house. There's no blending, no mixing in products from somewhere else, no mystery to untangle. Big packers import beef from all over the world, blend it together, and sell it back to people as a slightly cheaper, unknown product. Whether or not that's good or bad for the country is honestly beside the point for us, because it doesn't touch what we do, which is helping people like you circumvent that system by purchasing beef directly. Montanans are independent, free-thinking people. We figured they'd want to know the people raising their food. Before building a direct-to-consumer beef business, we'd sell all our cattle and lose any connection to the people actually sitting down to enjoy our beef at the table.
