We went a little hog wild this summer and purchased four pigs! These hogs had a really lovely summer, raised on pasture right behind our home at Wickens Ranch. They were able to express their natural behaviors, rooting for bugs and plant nutrition while also being fed each day by our kids. We nourished them with the same Montana crops - barley and peas - that we use to finish our cattle. The pork is a bit darker in color (compared to conventional pork) and incredibly flavorful.

Our sliced ham is thick cut and delicious! We love it on everything from sandwiches to toasts to breakfast casseroles.
