Brisket is one of the best slow-cooking meats, which is why it's ubiquitous in barbecue. It has an unbeatable combination of flavor and tenderness when cooked properly.

The brisket is cut from the breast section of the animal, so it is generally a tough cut of meat and needs a lot of cook time in a smoker or slow cooker to break down the muscle.

Amazing local beef products.

"After reading a book on regenerative farming, I was happy to discover that method being used right here in Montana at Wickens Ranch. I corned and slow-cooked their brisket for St. Patrick’s Day weekend, and I’m happy to report that my family said it’s the best corned beef they’ve ever had. I can’t help but think that’s in large part due the high-qualify, fresh, properly raised meat that was delivered right to my door. I also bought some of their beef tallow, and wow, what a nice flavor it brings to hash browns and sautéed vegetables, not to mention how it perfectly seasons my cast iron pans like the seed oils never could do. Really impressed all the way around. I can’t wait to try other Wickens Ranch products!"
